My dishwasher recently started leaving a white, chalky residue on all the dishes. It wasn't gradual at all. One day everything was fine and all the dishes clean and the next they were covered in nasty residue. We've ruled out any issues with soap, rinse agents and hard water. A appliance repair guy came out and said the float was "tampered" with and said that he fixed it. He said that if the problem came back we need to order a new float assembly kit. My husband has looked at it several times an

My LG dishwasher upper rack has stopped cleaning. The uppermost arm is seemingly getting no water at all and the arm on the underside of the upper rack is getting some water, but not enough to turn it. I have already disassembled and cleaned all the way down to the diverter assembly and it has not fixed the problem. I think this is a problem with a the (?) diverter pump or perhaps a sensor that sends water to the upper arms. I am trying to figure out how to further diagnose the problems. The

We lost electricity very briefly today which caused the dishwasher, washing, drying, clean buttons to blink when the electricity came back on. I opened the door to do a load of dishes hours after the electricity came back on and the basin was filled with water which caused water to spill out of the dishwasher. The basin was empty last night when we used it. It seemed to fill up when it was not running.

Kenmore dishwasher. The upper rack is not getting clean. Even very light residue remains. And, detergent is left in door at end of cycle. The bottom is filling up, so I don't think it's the intake valve. Also, all the blade openings appear clear. I am noticing that hot water is not filling the dishwasher when I first run the cycle. Even if I have hot water running in the sink, the dishwasher fills with cold or warm water. So, I think this is the problem. What should I do? Thank you in advance!

I find it odd that the dishwasher is filling with cold water if the water is hot at the sink. It sounds like the dishwasher is connected to the cold water line rather than the hot. Check under your sink; if you've got standard plumbing, the dishwas ... Dishwashers

I have a Samsung dishwasher and a code comes up that says that there is a low-level water function problem. The solution in the manual says to run it empty to clean it. I have a 2 year old Electrolux ESL 63010 dishwasher, and it worked perfect until a few days ago, when it did not wash cleanly and the dishes came out cold. I read a few forums and it seemed to indicate the heating element. So I ordered one a fitted it, but still the water is not getting hot, or drying the dishes after the complete cycle. I have done a visual check of the PCB board, which looks clean and good. No error sounds, and it completes all programs, but with cold water and no drying. W

Bosch dishwasher Over the weekend my drains backed up into the dishwasher. After cleaning the drains I ran the dishwasher 3 times. Under the screen there is still about an inch of water. I never noticed this before because I never removed the screen before. Can you tell me if this is normal or is there a problem with the dishwasher. The water in the little area below the screen is clean.

Its normal. its there to keep moisture around the rubber seals so they dont dry out. ... Dishwashers

On an AEG Favorit 64570 VI we have an error 20. Manual indicates a drainage problem, however when we pour in water, it gets pumped out without a problem. No obstructing in the exhaust tube. Next we checked the pressure sensor, by taking it out and blowing into it. It clicked as pressure was applied to it, so the inner switch worked. Everything is clean, but still we get an error 20. What does seem strange is that the appliance does not take in water. Any suggestions are welcome.

My tappan dishwasher is only 1 1/2 yr old and its not getting at least 1/2 of dishes clean. We have tried everything from changing to liquid soap, increasing water pressure at meter, not using while washing clothes. We used a dishwasher cleaner to remove calcium, and run hot water in sink before using. We know the wand, pump and drain are working. It is model TDB210RFB5 with 1.1A motor. Is the motor too small to clean dishes? I wish I could get my money back or exchange for an upgrade. Thanks!

When i switch on machine it is still making odd humming noise (emptying cycle?) I have read about anti -flood valve etc. Any more tip

Hi, I have a Fisher Paykel DD603I (integrated) dishdrawer unit. The bottom drawer soap dispenser has water in it after it runs (and leftover soap), and there is a small amount of water sitting in the bottom of the drawer. The dishes don't get totally clean. I have removed and cleaned the spray arm, drain filter, filter plate and bottom of tub. Found nothing clogged or particularly dirty. Put all the parts back in and everything moves freely. Ran it empty, and same problem occurred.
