Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus dishwasher Model DU920PFGZ3. Worked fine until I replaced the insinkerator and forgot to punch the drain plug leaving water standing on the bottom of the machine. I punched the drain opening, and pushed the cancel/drain cycle button. It drained fine but since no water comes from the spray arms. I have removed the arm all the way down..NOTHING!! Some research indicated it could be the water inlet valve. When the buttons are pushed, it cycles but no spray or water.

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

Kenmore Ultra Wash Quiet Guard - will not drain at end of cycle. After cycle is complete, water (not clean) sits at the bottom of the washer but I still unload the dishes and then turn the cycle dial around again - going past all the water heating and filling and washing - and land on the drain cycle, it will drain. Any ideas why it will not drain when I let a cycle run, but will drain once I cycle it through to the drain option?

Dishwasher fills with hot water. Float OK - water feed stops when full. Motor humms but no water spray (in all opperating modes). Cancel selection (with cancel button) and close the door. The water drains then the unit shuts off. Water feed OK. Drain Cycle OK. Looks like spray pump hung but do not know. Cannot find a reset button (as with disposal) or way to free hung pump motor. I did see glass pieces in the drain. Possibly a small piece hanging the motor.

If you found broken glass inside the machine some has likely migrated to the pump. about the only way to fix that issue is to remove the pump and either replace it or disassemble it and clean it out. ... KitchenAid 24 in. KUDP01FL Built-in Dishwasher

Dishwasher works fine except that after the drying cycle, water slowly builds up in the bottom of the dishwasher. It did this a few years ago for several months, but then it stopped doing it altogether. I did nothing to fix it. Now it's started doing it again. I run the dial around to a point where it drains, let the water drain and then turn it back to off before the drying cycle begins.

Hello,\015\012\015\012This would mean that the dishwashers water valve has failed. This is a simple repair to make yourself. The lower access panel would need to be removed, four screws. You can purchase the part from the link below.\015\012 ... GE Dishwashers

Dishwasher wont fill with water. just before it stopped filling i was turning the dial (a lot) between the wash cycles back and forth to attempt to get it to fill and drain (I didn't let it go through a cycle). We also removed the hose from the machine as it had split and replaced it and we had the machine tilted on it's side. the dial still clicks round but it sounds like the pump is going and it doesn't seem to be filling with water. My trusty Bosch s510 Dishwasher which has been going strong for about 17 years (at least) has just decided not to empty itself. I noticed the bottom was full of water after a wash. I emptied all the water out by hand and presuming there is a blockage in the drain tried using a plunger to unblock it. I have since put it through another cycle and half way through water started leaking out of the front. At the end of the cycle the bottom of the dishwasher was again full of hot 'soapy' water. Shu9925uc/14 bosch dishwasher leaves standing water in the bottom of the pump. The pump seems to be bad because it wont drain out the back hose. I have run the diswasher full cycle and put the drain hose into the sink to test. It wont drain at all now and I dont hear the pump. Whirlpool Dishwasher ADG 450. Start as normal and it keeps intermittentlly stopping and starting. Washs / drains fine, but sometimes cycle seams to last for a couple of hours. Machine cannot finish cycle and is stuck in pumping out mode. Only tiny amount of water in drain basin at bottom, no excessive water. Was set at 10pm, still attempting to drain 8am! Possible related issue, recently finish at end of washes has been "grainy", far from perfect, surfaces slightly sandy feeling.

I'm hoping there is a reset or a safety for the pump if it gets clogged.

Any advice would be much appreciated, for sure.
