Having problems with your Whirlpool 24 in. GU1500XT - Multiple Color Built-in Dishwasher ?

On a Whirlpool Gold dishwasher, the normal & pot scrubber lites alternatively flash. Pressing clear causes that lite to flash also. Have not yet tried circuit breaker.

Hi there,\012

Well first of all you can switch off the dishwasher for 5 minutes and check them again.
if further you have the same problem it means it's the heater malfunction (sorta) this failure code is generated when the unit does not sense a 5 degree rise in water temperature with in 15 seconds (give or take depending on model) some of the earlier models could show code under certain circumstances such as incoming water to cold.

with control off alternately press high temp scrub and heated dry till all the lights flash on and it will go into a diagnostic mode hit cancel/drain button twice and retry using the dishwasher if the code persists try running Your kitchen sink until water is hot then running the dishwasher if the code comes up again begin inspecting the heater in bottom of wash tub for damage or signs of shorting also pull out from under the counter to inpect wiring to the heater, if these look good test the safety cutoff towards the front bottom of the unit small black and silver button sized componant with two wires to it for continuity.

still ok remove the thermistor from bottom of pump and clean it and test the ohms according to the tech sheet on the back of the toe panel on front of dishwasher, if this is ok test run the dishwasher with a high temp scrub option selected and test voltage to the heater at the two connectors directly at the heater if there is no voltage and You have properly checked the previous items the control has a bad heater relay and will require replacement.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Hi In the middle of a wash cycle, my dishwasher tripped the circuit breaker on the wall. I diagnosed this by unpluggin dishwasher, plugging in a different appliance and switching circuit breaker back on. new appliance worked OK. When dishwasher had cooled, I tried it again on same circuit (which I knew was working properly). The lights came on for about three seconds, and then the circuit breaker cut back in again, so I knew it was the dishwasher that was causing the problem. Is there anyt

Whirlpool model DU960 - from 2001, I think. Stopped running mid-cycle and the cycle lights flash. Won't run. How to fix? If I press 'Cancel/Drain', it flashes that button light. If I press one of the wash cycles again, it turns on the pump for about 1 second, shuts off and the lights flash again. I tried turning off the circuit breaker and turning it back on, but it still won't run. Is this fixable? Do I need to call for service? Or, would I be better off just replacing it?

Kenmore Elite Drawer Dishwasher model 465.13329600 Normal Wash and High Temp Wash buttons stay lit, as does green Lock button. After the wash & dry is complete, the next time I try to use it, won't turn on. I tried cancel and that starts and finishes but can't get any thing else to work. I turned off the circuit breaker but have to wait 6-8 hours before turning back on. Once this is done the machines runs normal again. I have to repeat this process every time I want run. I have a bosch SHE58C dishwasher. The cycles all work, it fills so the water line is ok, it washes, and it drains so it is not clogged. I cleaned out the sump and it is all clear. However, I think the "brain" or control module is bad. When I try to run a cycle, it does not fill. One other note is that it continues to run when the door is open. Is there a way to reset the "brain"? I've tried killing the circuit breaker

When trying to start the dishwasher, pressing the Normal wash button, the dishwasher gives a huge clunk and then it trips the circuit breaker. Upon resetting the breaker, I tried the next button over, which is Soak and Wash, and it seems to go thru the cycle fine. Another time I tried the Normal button, but put the left dial on Rinse and it started up, but it would clunk periodically and it seemed to have a 'hot' smell. How to diagnose? My Kenmore won't run. First it was flashing the clean light 7 times, so I figured out how to reset ("High Temp Scrub"/"Air Dry"/"High Temp Scrub"/"Air Dry"), but when I try to run a wash, it sounds like it's not getting water into the tub. When I checked it several minutes later, it was in "Cancel" mode, making a sound like it was draining (or trying to drain), then the clean light started flashing 7 times again. Clearly, the machine has something wrong but I don't know where to

GU1500XTLS3 Periodically won't start. Dishwasher has power because pressing cancel causes dishwasher to start draining (even though there is no water). This could be the 'fill switch', which is the level sensor. Could be a plastic tube that exerts air pressure into the tube as it fills, make sure it's clear and open. The dishwasher has a sensor that monitors the door being closed too. Some use a hig ... Dishwashers
