My dishwasher is not pulling in water

\015 When I turn on my dishwasher there is no water going in to it\015

Answers :

Check that the inlet hose is not kinked or blocked, and ensure that inlet line has sufficient pressure.

Check that the water level switch is not stuck.

Try unplugging appliance power cord for five minutes (or trip circuit breaker) to reset appliance control board.

If you do not find anything, then there is probably a fault, parts to be tested are inlet valve (Ohming solenoid, energizing), Water level (bridge it, read continuity), and control board by reading volts. On some model you may also need to test pressure switch located near to the pump.

Portable Dishwasher Hello, We just got a used Haier portable dishwasher, model HDP18PA and while the hose connnects fine to the sink, the water isn't going into the dishwasher and is coming out of the connection. Does that make sense? It looks like, if it operates properly, the water should be sucked into the dishwasher but the connector isn't pulling the water in. Help! Thank you! Tara

Water won't drain from bottom of dishwasher. I pulled the dishwasher out, blew through the drain tube, disconnected the drain tube and felt around inside. Ok there. The dishwasher has not been in use for 4 months, due to low hot water flow. I replaced a clogged valve today and restored water flow, and I'm wondering if non-use causes a problem with dishwashers?

I have a Whirlpool DU810SWLQ0 that will not drain. I've pulled the unit out, snaked the drain tube, pulled the motor/pump, and pipe assemblies, and cleaned the food trap, which I also removed. I've run the dishwasher with a bit of bleach, and the water will pump in, get processed by the agitator, and be heated. When the rinse cycle comes, dishes get covered in food, and are never clean. Waste water was being used for a clean rinse. I've run the dishwasher with the drain dangling in a bucket,

Leaking Dishwasher seems to be leaking. Otherwise it's performing fine. I have laminate floors, and there are water seeping out along the seams of the flooring area near the dishwasher. The dishwasher is captured by the floor (dishwasher was installed first then floor was put in at 1/2" higher level), so we can't pull it out to check where the leak is coming from. My WHirlpool dishwasher won't drain - basin is full of water. Machine starts and runs the drain cycle, but something is clogged. I opened up the bottom, and pulled off the drain hose to the disposal, and that had no water in it, so the clog is somewhere before the water gets to the hose. If I run the dishwasher drain cycle, it is not pumping water into the hose. What next?

The clog could be in the hose,or on up in the mouth of the drain, air pressure might dislodge the clog,or dissasible of the drain pan in the machine. ... Dishwashers

Not getting enough water flow into the dishwasher, suspect that a filter is clogged due to recent work on the waterline in the kitchen sink. Need to know where the filter might be located (on the dishwasher or on the intake valve before the connection to the dishwasher hose)? Also would I need to disconnect the water supply to pull out the dishwasher for access to such a filter.

Bosch SHY66C My Bosch dishwasher won't fill with water.  All electrical connections are fine and I can hear it make a sound as if it is trying to start about every 2 minutes.  There was water in the bottom so I used a shop vac and pulled it all out but it still won't start and is doing the same thing.  I checked the solenoid with a multi-meter and it appears to be working.  My power went out last night for about two hours and that's all I can think of that might have affected it.  The dishwasher

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you
