Having problems with your Whirlpool Dishwashers ?

I have a whirlpool DU1145 dishwasher that seems to be stuck on the same cycle. It shows it as sensing and washing at the same time and never shuts off. HELP! WHat could becausing this??

Answers :

Sounds like your Touch Pad on the Control Panel is defective.

You can try and remove the 120 Volt AC power from the Dishwasher by turning it off at your Main Electrical Power Panel with the Circuit Breaker (15 or 20 amp) labeled: Dishwasher .

Leave the Dishwasher turned "Off" for 10 minutes. This will allow the control circuits on the Dishwasher to reset. Turn on the Dishwasher and press Cancel and attempt to Drain the Dishwasher. If this works...then try to enter a Rinse Only cycle and if that works... then attempt to enter a Wash Cycle.

If you still have your original problems then you probably have a defective:
(1) Touch Pad Assembly (or possibly a defective)
(2) Electronic Control Module (ECM)

Water may not heating. The Thermister, Thermostat or Heater may be defective. Could also be a bad control board. You shoud call a appliance repairman.

I have a couple of problems. Firstly, the auto programme now shows a cycle time of 199mins but actually takes much longer than that to complete - more like 4 hours. On the quick (!) wash cycle the time is 97 minutes, whereas it should be less than 30 mins. Second problem, the detergent box flap won't stay shut when loading, so I have to put the tablet in loose in the bottom. Could the 2 problems be related?

There is an issue with the machine not heating properly, it could be the control panel or the thermostat, The flap not staying shut is not connected to this. ... Dishwashers

I have a Bosch dishwasher, stainless steel front- with buttons on the inside top( same as display, and the washing cycle won't start. Water seems to be running into the washer, as I can hear it, but the cycle never starts. Recently, I had clogged garbage disposer issue that has been resolved. The dish washer drains into the disposer, and I had free standing water left behind in the washer for 2days during this time.. Could this be the issue? Can you help me figure out this problem? Thanks!!

Blowing fuse... We've replaced the overheating fuse located in the control board area about 5 times. It has just blown again after using the dishwaser one time--before it would go about a month before blowing the fuse. It seems to get about a few minutes away from completing the wash cycle and does not complete the draining process. Help!! We don't know what to do next--replacing the fuse is costing about $15 each time, before you know it we could have bought a new one! Thanks for the help. Ti

Tim, this blown fuse issue was pretty common on this model. Whirlpool, which made this model came out with a fuse kit that included a terminal and heavier guage wire to eliminate this problem. It just splices right into the control board, easy job. T ... Kenmore 17024 Built-in Dishwasher

CDA dishwasher is constantly beeping part way through a wash cycle and obviously stops washing at this point. CDA have been out three times in the space of four years and it costs £79 each time. Could have bought a brand new dishwasher by now. The man who repaired mentioned it was the sensor and showed us how to clean it but I don't know anyone else with different makes who have to go through this hassle every two or three washes and this is now making now difference.

Dishwasher Dilema Hi, Can someone help me solve this problem. Last time I had a problem with my dishwashers I was pretty successful in solving it on this site. I was running a reg wash on the top drawer of my Fisher&Paykel when I suddendly had to stop it in the middle of a wash to add more dishes (something I do all the time) suddenly both screens started beeping with an F1 along with a wrench. It sounds like both motors top and bottom are running full blast. I tried shutting the power for a few

Hi, I have a Siemens SE24A230GB/17 dishwasher and it is not completing the wash cycle (any selected). It appears to be stuck on the 'wash' part of the program. I have done the reset actions as advised in the User Manual and tried another program, without success. I have found that the possible causes could be the timer or thermostat. The estimated time remaining display counts down, but the program does not complete the wash and move onto rinse and dry. Any help or advice you can provide would

Hello I hope someone can help me. I have a Siemens Hydrosensor Dishwasher that when I start it up in runs for a while and shuts off. I need to open and close the door several times then it may run for a short while, 15 seconds to a couple minutes and then shut down again. Finally, it will run through the rest of the cycle. The issue generally occurs when the digital timer is between 85 and 78. If I just leave it go once it shuts down it does eventually start up and will complete the washing cycl

Dishwasher problem It is a "classique" dishwasher , about 8 years old, but used only about 50 times max. The dishes are not getting out clean - the washing powder is smeared over them. Most of the dish washing powder (or tablet, tried it both) is not comming out of the powder compartment, despite the fact that we find the compartment open when the washing cycle is done. Sure it is just a "smal quick fix thing" but have not idea what it could be. Pleaseee help!

We cannot keep temperature of our Jackson Tempstar dishwasher at a constant temp. One time the rinse will be down a bit and then the wash. We have replaced the gauges, thermostats, motor and element of the diswasher. It is kept constantly clean, and we have tried everything we can think of. Would there be a wire that could be coming loose every once in awhile that may cause this? Thank you for any help you can give us.

But now the timer appears to go around but only part runs each section of the programmes, and then just ticks the rest of the time.
