Having problems with your Whirlpool Dishwashers ?

WE JUST BOUGHT A NEW DISHWASHER DU1345XTVB HOOKED EVERYTHING UP CORRECTLY AND RAN A QUICK CYCLE THRU IT AND WHEN IT WAS DONE THERE WAS STILL WATER IN THE BOTTOM. THIS WAS TO REPLACE THE OLD DISHWASHER SO IT WAS ALREADY HOOKED UP THRU THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL. WE CHECKED THE HOSES NO KINKS...VERY FRUSTRATED! HELP!! TRISH W.

Answers :

Make sure the garbage disposal is working, if it is not then it will not allow
the dishwasher to drain. Also make sure there is not blockage in the intake port on
the disposal where the hose connects itself. If you installed a new disposal, there
is a knockout that must be struck out inside the connection port.

If you have an "air gap" installed (next to the faucet which looks like
a small cup upside down, it may be gunked up, remove and clean, or replace it)

If the hose came inside the dishwasher did you install it on the proper port on the
dishwasher pump, many have two and one is blocked off. (it is unlikely but depending
on the amount of water and the type of subflooring under the machine, it could have
pumped out unnoticed and drained through a wiring hole).
Hope this is helpful

When dishwasher drains the water not all the water is drained. Some stays standing at the bottom and starts getting an odor after awhile. This is a replacement dishwasher in a 35 year old house. How important is the air release part in the draining situation? I was told by someone that the newer dishwashers have the air release part which was not hooked up on this dishwasher when installed last year. Are there some other possibilities of things that can be checked. Model Number is DU

I have a GLD 4456R00CS dishwasher that is maybe 6 months old. It seems to cycle properly, but has never really cleaned the dishes. This is the worst dishwasher we've ever had (over 25 years) and I'm ready to take it to the street. I've cleaned the screen (was already clean), checked the spray bars for clogs (removed, sprayed water through it, and replaced), and looked for any other obvious problem.

Our Whirlpool dishwasher, DU1145XTPBA, has almost quit cleaning the dishes. It started with dishes on the top rack. My husband was told by rep to replace the top unit. That did not help at all. Now the bottom dishes are almost as dirty and gritty as the top rack. This dishwasher is too new to have to be replaced and we've already spent $50 on the top rack. Is there anything else to check at this point?

We have a 6 year old Jenn Air dishwasher model JDB2150AWP We had a cracked door close unit which we replaced but got a short while restoring connections I am wondering if there is an internal circuit breaker, relay or fuse on these machines that we need to check and possibly replace since we cannot get it to run at all. No power or lights at all. I believe all connections are secure and we replaced the door close unit with new parts.

Kitchen Aid Dishwasher KUDR24SEBLO does not drain 100%. I have removed the drain hose and chcked the sink P-Trap, [it drains thru the garbage disposer]. Unit is 10 years old, otherwise works fine. I am having difficulty removing the impeller and items above the pump to see if it is clogged. Do you think I have a partially clogged pump or a timer issue that prevents the pump from completely emptying the bottom of the dishwasher? We have run the dishwasher 20-30 times since observing the problem.

My Hotpoit FDL570g dishwasher (that is less than 2 years old) is tripping the circuit breaker originally during a wash and now when the unit is switched off and and door is closed. I'm going to check for bare / rubbed leads but not expecting to find this with a dishwasher of

Thermal fuse Dishwasher konked out mid-cycle and now no power to control pad. We've already had the thermal fuse replaced once (machine is only 2 years old!) and this appears to be the same issue. Our 2 month old Frigidaire FGHD2433KF1 dishwasher is producing a very strong foul odor. It is not connected to a garbage disposal and we only see a small amount of water in the bottom of tub when the dishwasher is off. When I use the sanitize cycle, it seems that the smell is even more intense, not sure if that could be do to a small amount of steam escaping on the highest setting ? We have no idea what to check any suggestions would be much appreciated
