Having problems with your Whirlpool DU1055XTS Built-in Dishwasher ?
When dishwasher drains the water not all the water is drained. Some stays standing at the bottom and starts getting an odor after awhile.
This is a replacement dishwasher in a 35 year old house. How important is the air release part in the draining situation? I was told by someone that the newer dishwashers have the air release part which was not hooked up on this dishwasher when installed last year.
Are there some other possibilities of things that can be checked.
Model Number is DU

There are two hoses coming from my Bosch SHE45M06UC dishwasher. One is obviously the drain coming from the back of the unit, and the other is attached to the side looped and not connected to anything. I went online to the Bosch website for a installation manual and it describes this hose as a air venting hose. Does the end attach anywhere or does it just hang loose on the unit. My husband detached it from its original position and thought it was part of the water line. HELP!
Many people realize the dishwasher connects to a little hose on the sink, it is called an air gap. However, many people wonder " The air gap is there to prevent the water from being siphoned out of the dishwasher. When water flows through the drain ... Bosch Dishwashers
I have a whirlpool gold model GU1500 diswasher. When the rinse cycle ends the water pumps out into the garbage disposal like it should, but then water backs-up from somewhere into the bottom of the dishwasher. The overfill protection drain seems OK...the water doesn't overflow. It doesn't have a air gap on the sink. The drain hose goes directly from the dishwasher to the inlet on the garbage disposal. It appears to be properly installed per the installation instructions. The washer is about 4 ye

My dishwasher was recently 'installed'. i don't know if the contractor made a mistake or if the water valve is not turned on, but the cycle tries to start but then no water is flowing into the dishwasher. everything appears to be hooked up, but I think it's the water issue b/c i also have a new refrigerator and the water dispenser/ice maker does not work because no water is flowing into the fridge either.
This sure sounds like a water valve issue, for sure. You will have to trace out the lines (not easy, but possible) and figure out where the valve is. They usually turn left to open, and right to close. I would call the contractor and tell them ... Frigidaire Professional Series 24 in. Built-In Dishwasher Dishwasher

I have a Bosch SHU9915UC/U11 dishwasher, installed in 2002. Recently, our hot water heater had to be replaced, and we were without hot water for five days. Air got into the hot water pipes, and dried out all the debri in the lines. When we got the new hot water heater going, all of the sediment in the pipes ended up in the in-line screen filters in various appliances (clothes washer, etc.). I have cleaned these out, and these appliances are fine. Since then, the dishwasher has been shutting

I have a brand new whirlpool DU1055XTV5 dishwasher, installed two days ago. After the cycle completes there is about 1/2" clean standing water left in the bottom. It is not just down in the well area, the whole bottom is covered with water. This is after running a normal cycle with no other options such as sanitize or heat dry. I bought this dishwasher 5 years ago and was kept in the box until last month. I installed it, turned on the water and no water is being pumped into the unit from the water release valve in the dishwasher. I then checked all the cycles and everything works except for the pump. Then I checked to see if any power/volts was going to the pump and there is none. Could it be a wiring problem or could it be the circuit board?? please help. thanks
You will have to check all the connections visually. Since you know how to use a meter, see where the current stops. I need to winterize the built-in Kenmore dishwasher in a mountain cabin where winter temperatures will drop below freezing. The unit is at least 10-15 years old, but I don't have the model number handy. My approach to the cabin water pipes in general will be to gravity-drain them and then blow out remaining water by adding and releasing air pressure. RV antifreeze will go into all P-traps. Leaking Dishwasher seems to be leaking. Otherwise it's performing fine. I have laminate floors, and there are water seeping out along the seams of the flooring area near the dishwasher. The dishwasher is captured by the floor (dishwasher was installed first then floor was put in at 1/2" higher level), so we can't pull it out to check where the leak is coming from. We just hooked up our old built in GE dishwasher and the water is shooting out the left side of the unit where the black water hose enters the tub. Shouldn't the water be entering into the wash arm? The hose isn't clogged. It attaches to a white plastic piece that is part of the unit itself. The water is entering both the tub but also shooting out of 2 slits approx 1 1/2" each. located right below where u attach the hose.. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

MacMarkus, I just got parts for the dishwasher. I put the circ pump in and no water enters the dishwasher. I also see that I didn't put a plastic cover on one of the leads, so I need to pull the dishwasher to do that. How do I know if I've installed the pump correctly?
