Having problems with your Whirlpool Gold 24 in. Built-In Dishwasher Dishwasher ?

I have a whirlpool gold dishwasher model Quiet Partner 3. The top rack is not cleaning the dishes very well. We live in the country and have hard water. I am wondering if there could be a buildup of some sort inside the water arm and causing it to block some of the water. I am wondering if I could put something like C L R in the washing cycle to loosen up the buildup. Do you have any other ideas.

Answers :

If it is just affecting the upper rack i doubt it is just a plugged spray arm (though i could be wrong). more likely than not you have a blockage on the intake of your spray pump motor. a series of bones, toothpicks, foreign material, etc could be blocking the entrance of the pump causing it to starve for water so to speak.
you will more than likely need to remove the lower rack and spray arm to be able to disassemble the strainer and gain access to the sump.
a complete model number would help bunches to.. alas

DS603 Fisher & Paykel U1 error code ..(see our previous errors we've listed) we have now pulled out the yellow water valve that goes up behind the front panel and at the other end by removing the drawer and plastic protector thingy - we checked that there were no bedris or calcium buildup in the valves ends and filters and replaced it all. So we put it all back to gether as we could not see what would cause this error, only to find that it worked - water came into the machine but about 4 mins in

Model number 665.13763k600 Seems like dishes on the top rack do not get hit with a lot of water. Also, when soap packets are put into the soap compartment, the soap packets no longer dissolve. It appears that there may be a problem with water flow. Have had the unit for a few years. Wondering if it could be a filter or something?

I have a danby ddw496w that leaks water from the bottom of the machine when it goes into the drain cycle.it will start coming out the bottom as well as the drain outlet .Could it be a simple hose connection or is there something else that could cause this effect.the rear hoses are tight and it runs fine and does not leak untill it drains

I just bought a used Kenmore standalone dishwasher and ran it for the first time. The dishes on the top did not get clean and the soap did not come out of the closed soup dish. at one point I took a shower and was wondering if that might have influenced the water pressure enough to cause the problem. Is the soap supposed to open during the wash and could the poor water pressure prevent the top shelf from getting properly washed?

Slow drain. My dishwasher is draining, but not enough to empty the water out after a normal cycle. This is also causing the rinse cycle to use recycled dirty water in the process. I've check the lines and there are no blockages there. Inside the dishwasher are 2 little white balls...where is the exact position they should be placed? Could this be blocking some of the draining process?

The pump doesn't seem to put out enough water pressure to turn the various revolving heads/nozzles in the washer - all washing heads are operable (ie unblocked) while the S shaped nozzle at the base and the small round nozzle at the top/ceiling of the cabinet do revolve slightly or slowly - but the two main nozzles spout water but not enough to revolve Is this a defective pump or a partially blocked pump ? - or something else - I have checked everything else and they appear to be functioning

Our dishwasher was taking in water, circulating it but not heating it up or moving through the cycle. My husband took the control panel off and there were some scorch marks on it so we got a new one. The next day when we put it on it was back to square one plus the lights on the control panel are now not working. Just wondered if anyone has any idea what we could do or are

There is a pool at the bootom of my dishwasher when the wash cycle is completed. When doing "Rinse Only", I could hear something come on immediately following the rinse but nothing seemed to happen. I noticed that there is water in the tube right next to the Dishwasher before it makes that climb. I'm wondering what all this means...

Water from my disposal backs up into my hotpoint ($300-model) dishwasher. The dishwasher works fine otherwise. Is there a one way valve in the diswasher that is suppose to prevent reverse flow and/or is there other dishwasher motor problems which could cause this. Actually the Hotpoint Model number is HDA3600N00BB but this website did not recognize that model number so I put in the closest model number closest to mine.

If it's what I think, it's a simple fix. Does your dishwasher drain run along the floor of the cabinet, then up to the disposal? (my guess is yes). There should be an "air gap" between the disposal and dishwasher, this means when it comes out of th ... Hotpoint 24 in. HDA3400G Built-in Dishwasher

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

My Bosch dishwasher is taking hours (at least 3 - maybe more) to complete a cycle. There is gummy, yucky stuff building up inside - sorta pinkish brownish. Could the water not be hot enough? A couple of months ago we installed an on-demand hot water heater and I wonder if that could have anythig to do with it. I've tried running the hot water in the sink first but that doesn't help. If your on demand heater is one of the small ones that mounts under the sink, it will not flow enough water to fill your dishwasher. the dishwasher is waiting for the water level to fill before it starts washing. your bosch will heat its own wat ... Bosch SHX46A07UC Built-in Dishwasher

I had a problem with my dishwasher popping the breaker. I opened the bottom and found burnt up wires. I fixed those and now the dishwasher stays on and begins its cycle (by draining) but the water is not flowing to the machine. It has supply, and I just now replaced the water inlet valve- no difference. The water was working before the breaker issue. I'm wondering if it is now something as simple as a clog somewhere since the washer sat unused for a month; or, if it is something more compli

I read your previous problem. This appears to be separate problems. The first was likely a loose wire. When a wire has a loose connection they build heat and can melt. The current issue would seem like the float switch is stuck. The float switch is ... Bosch SHU9925UC Built-in Dishwasher
