Having problems with your Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher ?

Drying My washer does not heat the water or dry the dishes.

Answers :

Jaeg, your problem could be the board or the heating unit. also a sensor could have failed that would tell the heater that there is sufficient water in the unit so that it can heat it, and or that it needs to be heated in the first place. that would not stop it from drying however. so, unless you have a multiple of issues, it is likely the heating element or the board.
for scott, i think i would get the repairman back again. it should be on him. and when you find the real issue, try to get your money back for the parts and labor that did not change things for the better.
good luck to both

Yes I have a whirlpool DU1345XTVB1 dishwasher. Just got in July. After each wash cycle the dishes are not dry. I have been using Finish gelpacs w/jetdry & also have a off brand drying agent in reservior to help dry dishes. The water temperature is set pretty hot & washer is draining good. I have tried checking wash cycle a few minutes into 1st cycle to see if water is in filling & heating. Didn't know if maybe heating element going out or thermostat not working? Thank you for your time.

Glasses have a film after washing complete. No food particles, just heavy film. I suspect dishes are the same, but doesn't show as much. Water temperature entering washer is 130 degrees. Heating element heats during drying cycle---not sure during wash cycle. Sounds like a good water spray during washing cycle.

When I take a glass or cup out of the dish washer after they are cleaned and heat dried, or a day plus from the cabinet to put cold water, too many small bubles are floating on top the water surface, as a soap-like condition; it clears up shortly. The tech told me it is normal. I think it is not normal because I suspect the rinsing is not totally complete because of the water conservation design. Am I drinking soap-water?

I have a Kenmore Elite dishwasher (model 665.1315), and the dishwasher will run through the wash cycle as expected, but when it gets to the heated dry cycle , it doesn't appear to dry. It will then flash a fault code 81 (8 short flashes of the 'clean' light, pause, and then 1 more short flash of the 'clean' light, longer pause, and repeat the code). The dishes seem to be somewhat dry, but there is certainly water on the dishes and on the tub (there is never any water standing in the tub, and t

I have a 2 year old Electrolux ESL 63010 dishwasher, and it worked perfect until a few days ago, when it did not wash cleanly and the dishes came out cold. I read a few forums and it seemed to indicate the heating element. So I ordered one a fitted it, but still the water is not getting hot, or drying the dishes after the complete cycle. I have done a visual check of the PCB board, which looks clean and good. No error sounds, and it completes all programs, but with cold water and no drying. W

Even though I turned up the thermostat on my hot water heater, the water in the dishwasher does not seem to be hot enough. Mold is growing in the food grinder and even though I choose the heat dry option, the dishes are never dry. Yet, when I touched the element, I got burned. The dishes are not getting clean because it doesn't seem to be hot enough to cut the grease.

How can this water heat delay be repaired ? I couldn't find my actual dishwasher on your list. It is model FDB2810LDC1 multi speed precision direct wash system with speed clean technology.

The water heat delay indication could be caused by the fact that the heating element has failed so that the washer will not proceed with the wash program until the water is up to the correct temperature. Purchased in 2003. Dishes were exquisitly clean till 2008. Our water heater temp was set at 140 temp. This heater was replaced with a heater now set at 125 temp. In the past two years dishes are nowhere as clean on the the normal start setting. Should I go to the Pots and Pans start setting to get hotter water or should I turn up my water heater? All this is assuming that water is not hot enough. Does the washer heating element ever burn out?

Try turning on your water at the sink for a while on hot let it run then start the wash cycle that should help. what that will do is let the cold water run out of the pipes and therefore you will have a hot water start. ... Kenmore Dishwashers

Problem: dishwasher (moel MDB6601AWW) will not run. Dishwasher I have a whirlpool dishwasher that does not appear to be getting hot water. The washer water is cold initially and only seems to get warm once the heater in the base of the machine heats it. The hot water supply line does not get hot so I presume no water is being supplied. Is the water supposed to be hot at the start. If yes could this be caused be a faulty inlet valve and if so how can I check. The dishes are dirty especially on the top rack. Thanks for your help. Drying problem Hi Our 3-day old LG dishwasher is not able to dry our dishes. After the cycle is finished 2 hours later, I open the door to find that water is everywhere. As if the washer is skipping the dry sequence completely. The "vent" on the inside of the door doesn't seem to have an outlet--why is this a vent if nothing can escape? The owner's manual says to use a rinse aid to help drying. I don't believe in using band-aid's; something else is wrong. Any help/advice is appreciated. Thanks,
