Having problems with your Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher ?

My dishwasher has water on the bottom that wont drain. I poured some Draino on the bottom but it didn't work. So I tried to run it (without dishes in it) and bubbles and water came out onto my kitchen floor. What should I do now?

Answers :

**** out the water with a wet vacuum machine. Remove the sump guard and check with you fingers for any obstacles that prevent the draining. **** out the water and anything else from there. Put the guards back.

Take a long shot. Say your mains leak a little, quite possible, and you machine's inlet solenoid valve leaks a bit, say about a litre a day - you probably would not notice it during the normal course of events, in a week it would leak a ... Kitchenaid dishwasher - small pieces of food are left on otherwise clean dishes. Water level comes to about 1 inch below heater coil. I ran it without dishes (or soap) and added about a quart of water so that level came to about 1/4 inch below heater and that's when I noticed food pieces on drain surfaces (nylon filter under bottom spray arm unit and circular plastic "trap" surrounding it). Spray arms holes are clear and water is hot.

It sounds as if you figured the solution out. The holes in the spray arm(s) get plugged by small debris, (tooth picks, seeds, bits of plastic like candy wrappers, etc) and the water does not reach the dishes to wash and rinse effective ... Dishwashers

Help! My Whirlpool Quiet Partner II isn't working at all. Water was standing in bottom at end of last 2 cycles, but on the last cycle, I came home to clean looking dishes, standing water, and a machine that won't turn on at all- no lights on any buttons- nothing works. I've tried the reset codes published here and elsewhere, but there are no lights on any buttons at all. The circuit breaker is fine. I have 3 young kids and can't function long without my dishwasher!

Subject is Bosch dishwasher SHU6800. There is a soap residue left on dishes. Residue is not visible. Using two glasses taken from a recently completed wash cycle I rinsed one under tap water and then filled glass with tap water. The second was just filled with tap water. There is noticeable soap bubbling and foam in the second glass. Starting the 10 min rinse/hold cycle following completion of a full 60 min wash cycle results in considerble soap foam in the bottom of the tub. Have tried thr

Hello, I have a Kitchen Aid dishwasher, model KUDS30IVWH3. The dishes have not been getting as clean lately, the bottom is decent but the top rack is not getting very clean. Also, when I open the door after the cycle is done, there's a bunch of detergent at the bottom of the door and on the floor of the dishwasher, like it isn't getting sprayed all over or something. Don't know if I have to check the water intake valve or if maybe the sprayers could be partially clogged.

The dishes in my dishwasher are not getting clean, particularly on the upper rack. It seems to be because the upper water arms are not spinning during the wash cycle. The bottom spin arm is working fine. I have cleaned out both upper arms as best as I could without removing them (above and attached below to the upper rack), as it does not appear that these arms are easily detachable. I am thinking maybe water is not making it up the line to the upper arms? I also have a lot of dirt in the b

There is water in the bottom of dish washer after finishing. If I start another cycle, everything drains, so it's not a problem with the hose. I hear water draining. I think it is the drain time. When the machine was under warranty, the service guy came and changed the drain time to longer. He told me how to do it, via the buttons, but have now forgotten where I put such great information. I have a 1996 built in model.

I have a Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III that is 8 years old and recently stopped cleaning top rack dishes. I remember finding a mylar like piece in the bottom of the tub and threw it away thinking it came off of something we washed (I know, bad thinking.) The mylar piece measured roughly 3-4inx2in and was folded in half. Anyways....the upper arm does not spin and the detergent doesnt get fully dispensed so dishes dont get fully cleaned. I am guessing not enough water pressure to upper arm. Wou
