Having problems with your Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher ?

It is hobart kdi-21a. I got the water out but looks like it is garbage in the bottom. Big screen open but maybe down in the pump? Can I remove the lower X wash arm, no screw but a big rivet?

Answers :

You can lift off the wash arm and pump screen. You will see the pump shell with screws to separate the top from the bottom. Next is the wash impeller with a center screw and a drive washer. Under the impeller are shims. Don't loose any. The same with under the drain impeller. Just be methodical with your disassembly, lay the parts out in a row as you remove them, and reassemble in reverse order once you have cleared the problem.

GLD4050 DW won't pump out at any time during wash cycle. Removed lower arm, screen, etc. and washed and cleaned out everything. Removed drain hose and cleaned it out. Reinstalled and ran again. At no time during he cycle does the water pump out. HOWEVER, if I put my hand on the drain pump I can feel and hear the pump running as usual at the right times in the cycle. What else could be preventing the pump out? Thanks!

I have a Kenmore model 665.15835791 dishwasher. I suspect that some plastic packaging has clogged the pump. I've removed the lower sprayer and the circular plastic cover that is held in place with 8 torx head screws. I'm trying to remove the black circular object with a 1 inch hex counterhold held in place with a screw with a 1/4 inch hex head. GE Potscrubber 650 Dishwasher, 13 years old. We want to take the front lower panel off to move the motor fan by hand, as you described for glideston'es post, but we can't figure out how to get the panel off. A repairman told us to remove the three screws at the top of the lower panel -- but they are too close to the upper door panel. The space between the two panels is not big enough to fit a screwdriver or any other tool we can think of. How do we remove the lower panel?

The note by FixAllPhil entitled "Poor cleaning or noisy pump on Whirlpool or Kenmore dishwasher" has a significant error. Westinghouse Virtuoso 922 dishwasher. Wash cycle completes, but water does not drain out. If I let the cycle continue, after a delay the rinse cycle starts, but of course no clean water is pumped in so the dishes are "rinsed" in the dirty wash water. I have removed and cleaned all filters which were correctly fitted so I am confident there is no foreign matter inside pump. When the water sh
