My dishwasher (Kenmore Elite 665) doesn't use up all the detergent in the detergent cup - it always leaves a little behind at the end of the cycle. the dishes don't get quite as clean any more, either. I recently replaced my old water heater - we were getting lots of little plastic pieces in our faucet screens. I'm guessing that the water pressure may be low, and that it may be due to the same problem. Is there a screen-type filter that filters the incoming water, before it enters th

I have a Bosch Dishwasher, Model SHE46C06UC. No mater what cycle I start it in, it simply activates the drain and continues to run without ever starting. Within the last week prior to the dishwasher not working, I noticed a low hum/vibration emitting from the dishwasher. I've clean out the screen and drain filter, removed the pump cover to check for any debris. I've manually added water and it does drain. Additionally, the drain cycle continues to operate even with the door open.

First thing you may want to check is the door switch. You can pull it off and measure the resistance with an ohmmeter. If you get good reading while pushed in and none while switch button is released, then it is a good start. Next, you may want ... Dishwashers

Hi, I have an ASKO D3250 dishwasher and it keeps stopping during the wash cycle and flashing the heavy pots and pots symbol simultaneously. I tried cleaning the filter basket and found a little plastic part floating in there that has printed on it PP-T20. I don't know where this piece goes or if it's even the culprit. My dishwasher leaks water from the top of my sink when in the drain cycle mode causing a mess on the counter top. How do I stop this leak? The plastic cover to the part which is located next to the faucet is cracked but there appears to be no leaks on the hose or on the part itself. Also, what is the purpose of this part? Is this the actual drain for the dishwasher and if so, why doesn't it tie directly into the drain?

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

A GE triton dishwasher causes hammer noise when stops filling. The sink faucet works fine as do all the other faucets in the house. I cleaned all of the traps in the dishwasher. Because the sink works, I don't think it is a sink valve problem. I turned off the water to the house and drained the system, the air chambers should be good. Is there some component of the dishwasher that could be causing the noise? Would cleaning the pump help? If so, how would I do that?

The cause of the hammering noise, (slamming) is due to the water inlet valve on the Dishwasher (DW) shutting off abrutly once the DW reaches the proper amount of water.\015\012\015\012If this is an older DW, you might want to replace the ... GE Dishwashers
