I have a Whirlpool dishwasher, model DU943 that's under 7 years old. I went to use it last night and it won't power on. I tried selecting all of the cycles, but the dishwasher never came on. I looked through the troubleshooting tips in my manual (like checking the circuit breaker for a tripped fuse, which was fine) and I still have a problem. what else can I try? thanks.

Hello- This unit has a thermal fuse inside the door panel on the control. This part is replaceable. If it is bad, replace.- and would suggest not using heated dry as this is most common cause of fuse failure. Let me know if this info helps- have more ... Whirlpool Dishwashers

My Hotpoit FDL570g dishwasher (that is less than 2 years old) is tripping the circuit breaker originally during a wash and now when the unit is switched off and and door is closed. I thought it may be a door lock / microswitch problem and replaced the microswitch. The dishwasher was good for four seperate washes but now the problem has come back when crockery is loaded when the machine is switched off. I'm going to check for bare / rubbed leads but not expecting to find this with a dishwasher of

I pressed Smart Wash, then Start and it did not go on. I can hear it draining but no water seems to flow and then it stops. All light t

It always seems like it never gets enough water to even make the spray arms work. I have even tried to make sure I am not running any hot water in the house. It is about 7 months old and has always acted this way. Could there be something wrong with the installation? My old Sears never had this problem.

Sounds to me as if there is a blockage in the water line supplying the dishwasher or a kink in the water line supplying the unit. Since the water is supplied from the angle stop under the sink there could be blockage at that point. What I would sug ... Dishwashers

I bought this dishwasher 5 years ago and was kept in the box until last month. I installed it, turned on the water and no water is being pumped into the unit from the water release valve in the dishwasher. I then checked all the cycles and everything works except for the pump. Then I checked to see if any power/volts was going to the pump and there is none. Could it be a wiring problem or could it be the circuit board?? please help. thanks

Cloudy Dishes This condition suddenly started after couple of years. Water heater is 7 yrs old, never drained, therefore I think this could be the problem. I am going to drain it and report. I have a Kenmore Quietguard dishwasher, only a few years old, and it won't drain. I pulled it out and checked the drain hose, could not find a clog. I took the basket and sprayer out, couldn't find any clogs there. It seems to be making a little bit of a different noise but does still clean the dishes. Does the motor pump the water out and could that be the problem?

Wont start I've had the washer for many years with minimal problem. Yesterday when I closed the door no light went on and the washer would not start.  After 20 minutes or so it suddenly went on and worked fine.  I thought that it might have not completed its last cycle. Today, however, I had the same problem and it's been over an hour and still hasn't started. (I checked the circuit breaker and it's fine)

I have an 8 year-old Kenmore 665.16912 dishwasher. Worked fine until two days ago. Then it stopped working altogether: nothing lights up on the front panel. I have checked the 120 in the electrical box, the door switch is working, the thermal fuse is working and there is 120 volts at the white and black connections to the timer control board. I bought a new timer control board for $120 and that did not fix the problem. What else could be causing the unit to completely stop working?
