Having problems with your Whirlpool GU2700XTSS / GU2700XTSY Built-in Dishwasher ?

The machine does not seem to rinse properly. We have checked the water fill level, water temperature, spray arms are not clogged, have determined it is not a hard water problem and have tried Glass Magic and CLR to verify the lattter. What else can we check to stop getting a film on everything in the machine? Plastics come out terrible, glasses and dishes foggy and sometimes still greasy. The model # is GU2700XTSY0 from the Whirlpool line of Quiet Partner 4. Any suggestions would help. Thanks!

Too much detergent; not rinsing well; hard water... There is an acid wash to revamp glasses/ you'd need to google it...
If you have hard water, glasses can look spotted and cloudy even after cleaning. Sometimes changing the dishwasher detergent can help. The easiest solution to clearing up glasses that start to look cloudy is toadd some vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher before you start a cycle. Simply add 1 cup of white vinegar and it will clear up your glasses very well.
You should see marked improvement after the first time you do this. If they are not crystal clear then simply repeat the process until all of the cloudiness is gone. In fact I recommend to using a little vinegar in each cycle to maintain the clarity of the glass.

Note: you can pre-test this by rubbing some vinegar on an individual glass with a cloth. If you cannot remove the cloudiness by soaking it and rubbing vinegar on it then it is possible that the glass is etched due to harsh or cheap dishwasher detergent and vinegar will not solve the problem.

My Kenmore Elite dishwasher doesn't wash dishes properly. I think that it is not getting enough water in the machine. It only allows about an inch of water to get into machine and then starts. I do not think that there is enough water to spin wash arms. I have 40 PSI coming into the house. I am on well water and found debris in the intake orfice. I did my best to flush. Bosch Dishwasher I currently own a Bosch dishwasher. One of the selling points, if I'm remembering right, of the dishwasher was it was supposed to super heat the hot water that is coming in from the tap. I have 3 problems. We have to rinse the dishes by hand before putting them in the dishwasher, Otherwise they won't come out clean. The dishwasher will run for four hours sometimes longer. It doesn't seem like it is heating the water any hotter than what comes out of the tap.
