I have an E3 error message on m SMEG STX1 dishwasher. I've cleaned all pipes so am fairly sure that the heating element needs to be replaced. How do I access the heating element to test it? If there is a procedure for taking apart I would be very grateful indeed. Type 10031 model no 1471588673

I hear the pump working, and water draining into the sink (not a disposal) as it should, but water is left standing in the tub about as high as the heating element. I have taken it apart and removed a few small items stuck in the system in various places, but that didn't affect anything. I have read here and there about the piston and nut assembly, but I don't think my model has that -- or maybe it does? Can you affer a
