Before changing Heating Element check the pcb tracks on the main pcb that \015\012go to the heating element as this is a common fault/issue. track will be\015\012 blown around relay connection as a rule.
Disconnect from electric and water supply. remove drain screen from inside dw , mopp up residual water. remove front feet and plinth cover, and right hand side panel. with machine on its back remove rear foot adjustment shaft.and base cover. disconnect wiring to tube enclosed heater. remove hoses very long nosed pliers help to get clips off/on. extract to righthand side. not much space to work here assemble in reverse. good luck
