Smeg Dishwasher DWD 63.1 SS, not heating; I have Smeg dishwasher that is sticking in its cycle (wash phase), water was cold, so I assumed the element had failed (or tank termostat), so I have replaced both element and tank thermostat in turn. No change, water still cold and dishwasher sticks in the wash cycle. Any ideas? (Note, no diagnostic leds on this model)

I have a GE Profile Dishwasher, Model# PDW7880J03SS that doesnt dry the dishes. I pulled out the dishwasher and checked the heating element for continuity with my ohm meter and got a closed circuit reading. I tested the voltage going to the heating element and got a 124V reading. However the dishes are still soaking wet after the drying cycle. What am i missing, what else could be wrong with the machine that the dishes won't dry at all?

It sounds like there is a short somewhere in the line running to the heating element. You probably did not need the replacement, and hopefully can return the one you got. I would trace the wires from the heating element if it was me personally, unl ... Dishwashers

No Power? I opened the dishwasher one day to find that it had only run half of the cycle. There was still water at the bottom of it. When I drained it, I attempted to turn it on...nothing. I have turned the breaker off and on, but still nothing. What could be wrong?

I would start at the junction box at thee bottom of the d/w behind the access panel to see if a wire nut may have burnt off. Be sure to turn the breaker off before you check this. Next I would check the door switch. ... Dishwashers

Powdery residue on some dishes, will not wash off. Repairman said it was due to warter temp, but have tries heat & Anti bacteria and still persists. There seems to be an electrical fault in my dishwasher. It is a slimline candy dishwasher purchased only three years ago. Everytime I try to start it all the electricity goes in the downstairs of my house. I changed the fuse twice and it worked for a while only for the same thing to happen again. I also tried to turn off all other electical equipment downstairs to see if this made a difference, but it still didn't work. Would you have any idea what is wrong with it? Thanks. S. Byrne

I have a 2 year old Electrolux ESL 63010 dishwasher, and it worked perfect until a few days ago, when it did not wash cleanly and the dishes came out cold. I read a few forums and it seemed to indicate the heating element. So I ordered one a fitted it, but still the water is not getting hot, or drying the dishes after the complete cycle. I have done a visual check of the PCB board, which looks clean and good. No error sounds, and it completes all programs, but with cold water and no drying. W
