Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

Water not fully draining during washing dishes. Stays approx 2 inches.

\015 Have followed these instructions. After hitting these keys the only lights that go on are from the previous setting. The machine then goes into that cycle (wash - rinse etc). The problem is that the indicator or timer to allow for the water to drain is not functioning is leaving 2 inches of soapy/dirty water in the bottom of the dishwasher. I see that during the rinse cycle, and probably the wash cycle, water is added to the maching and some drains out. I can see it. What sensor/indicator/timer determines that the tub is empty or needs to be emptied and stays on long enough to allow the water to pump out? Remember, the pump was replaced\015

I did check out the Drain Hose. It is not clogged. I also pulled out the dishwasher from the cabinet and replaced the Drain Pump. You mentioned the Drain Valve. How and Where can I check out the Drain Valve??? If I hit Start/Restart twice It drains a little at a time until all the water is drained out. The next and all other times leaves the 2 inches of water in the Dishwasher.\015\012Jack
Heres some few other simple checking & steps, that will guide you to the process...

1st
Remove the cover from the air gap at the top of the sink (usually a short chrome domed cylinder that sits at the back of the sink) and, using a wire, clean it. Also check the entire length of the drain hose for kinks and blockages, especially at the drain connection to the disposer or drain line.

2nd
Once the dishwasher is cool, shut off the power to it, and--if your dishwasher is made to allow this-- remove the strainer, located under the bottom spray arm at the base of the cabinet. Unscrew the hubcap, lift the spray arm off, and remove any clips that hold the strainer to get it out. Scrub it clean with a brush, then replace it.

3rd
Determine whether the sink trap or house drain line is clogged

4th
If it still doesn't drain properly, the drain hose may be clogged or the drain valve may need replacement. At this point, it's usually best to call a repair person. You can check the drain hose for obstructions, but this sometimes involves pulling the dishwasher out from under your counter to access the hose, disconnecting the hose at both ends, and flushing it out with a faucet or garden hose.

Let me know..
