Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

I am an Australian who has bought a second hand Defy Dishmaid dishwasher from a South African work mate. It is a 2/3 year old machine that he bought over from South Africa. When he moved into a new house the machine did not fit his kitchen bench opening much to his frustration so he sold it. When placed in my kitchen it was a tight fit and upon recent inspection the floor pan of the unit, it may have buckled. It worked well until recently when we did some renovations when I needed to remove

Hi

This means that the dishwasher is unable to drain water completely, you can run your washer at\015\012its hottest temperature setting with 3 cups of vinegar inside the unit. After\015\012this take off the bottom front panel and clean it completely, also clean the\015\012drain hose and drain pump filter located inside the bottom front panel, the smell should disappear after doing all\015\012this. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

We recently bought a house with a Kenmore 363.16222100 (?) dishwasher. No manual. Monday night it didn't drain properly and leaked some water on the kitchen floor. The cycle had finished when we saw the water on the floor. We bailed out the excess water. I took off the drain cover and insert. I couldn't see an obvious clog problem, but cleaned it out. Then I tried a short cycle, interrupting it to shorten it. No problem. Water seemed to drain fine. I did find a part that looked like a straw and

Some advice please. I've been given a Bosch SMS 5072 and I'm fitting it in my kitchen. Is the drain going to work if I push the whole line down through the floor? Or is it like a clothes washing machine and need to go higher than the "machine water level"

Hello,\015\012\015\012Welcome to fixya,\015\012\015\012Yes indeed it does need to be above the water level in the unit. Bosch recommends "looping" the drain behind the dishwasher or as an alternative as close to the machine as possible and not to exc ... Bosch Dishwashers

Hi I have a Neff built in dishwasher s5453X1GB/70 about 4 years old. Never had a problem before. Came downstairs last night to find the kitchen floor flooded. Water also still in machine. But must have been near end of cycle as plates all clean. I have read other links and opened pump compartment in centre of machine and syringed out all water and cleaned fan. When i switch on machine it is still making odd humming noise (emptying cycle?) I have read about anti -flood valve etc. Any more tip

Dishwasher leaking. I was supplied a flat seal ring of about 100mm dia., 10mm wide & 1 mm thick for the machine when I bought the house. Water on the floor tells me something underneath is leaking for the first time. The machine is about 10 yr old and in very good order .This seal could be the problem so before I go getting service personel in I'd like to know if replacing this and the door seal are jobs a careful handyman can do ?

I have a Kenmore Elite dishwasher (2004) and recently it has been leaking internally at a very slow pace. When not in use it will slowly fill until the floor of the unit is filled and then leak onto the kitchen floor unless we press the drain button and then it drains completely. The water seems to be coming from the front of the washer, potentially from the door itself. The amount of leakage is barely discernible but will fill over the course of a 24 hour period. The dishwasher otherwise wo

Very disappointing. Any solution?

Dishwasher flooding Hi my Asko D1716 Super Cleaning System Dishwasher has started to have a flooding problem. When the cycle finished last night it seemed fine then in the morning the machine was full of water, I scooped out the water and by this evening the machine had flooded onto the kitchen floor. I tried other solutions I found on this website but they didn't suit my dishwasher as it doesn't have the appropriate buttons. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

We haave a Frigidare FGHD2433KB1 dishwasher that we installed in September of 2010. Already it is not working and we are 2 highway hours from the place where we bought it. Sometimes the detergent doesn't open, sometimes dishes are not dry, recently the PF light has been coming on - yet no other appliance has had power interrupted. I am thoroughly disgusted with this machine and there are only two of us in the house so it get light use and we rinse our dishes well before placing in dishwasher.

Sometimes the rotating sprayer at the top and bottom, don't move either when its out of place. please help.

The dishwasher was recently removed for floor refinishing and reinstalled. The bottom rotor works but the top rotor does not. I asked the re-installer, who worked for the moving company, if he had connected everything properly and he said there was just one water line going into the machine and assured me he had connected it properly. Is there something else that needs to be done to make the top rotor operational? Thanks. John M

Our Fisher & Paykel single dish drawer unit (6 months old) is leaking limited water from its base down the front of bottom drawer below the unit's base onto the kitchen floor. One inspection by a technician failed to find any rectifiable problem. Unhappy, Wicks Road North Ryde

One drawer leaks can cause this problem. If you don't fix it. Hi, I have a Siemens SE44 dishwasher with Aquastop, which I bought recently. It was doing great for first 3-4 wash cycles and then it stopped functioning :( Now all it does is let the water in, and then drains it out- it doesnt do anything else. I can hear the water going in and then the machine drains the water, and this repeats. I tired resetting the dishwasher, checked the drain pipe, aquastop etc, and all seem to be in order to me. Any suggestions? Many thanks, stonerockyy

I have a Kenmore Model 665.15955792 dishwasher. Water is leaking out the bottom of the door. I changed the door seal and the defusers but it continued. I took off the front of the door and I see the water filling into the base of the machine.
