Hi there. let me help you. check these things below and get back if we did not isolate the problem for you.
\015\012\015\012\015\012\015\012\015\012If the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check these:

Drain line/air gap
Drain valve and/or solenoid
\015\012\015\012\015\012\015\012Drain line/air gap\015\012\015\012A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

\015\012\015\012\015\012\015\012Pump\015\012\015\012Your dishwasher pump ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support.

Look for an impeller--a round plastic fan blade-type of device that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them.

\015\012\015\012\015\012\015\012Drain valve and/or solenoid\015\012\015\012Many dishwashers use a drain valve with an electric solenoid. When electricity flows to the solenoid, the valve opens and diverts the water to the drain. Sometimes the solenoid, or the diverting lever, sticks and prevents the dishwasher from draining or filling properly. Try to free up the solenoid to lubricate the lever. Otherwise, you may have to replace the solenoid or pump assembly. With these systems, the motor always rotates in one direction. When it's energized, the drain valve diverts the water.

Other dishwashers simply reverse the direction of the motor to drain the dishwasher. These units don't have a drain valve. Instead, there's a drain hose connected directly to the pump housing.

\015\012\015\012\015\012\015\012Belt\015\012\015\012One brand of dishwasher uses a belt to drive the pump. If this belt is broken or has fallen off, replace it.

\015\012\015\012\015\012\015\012Motor\015\012\015\012If the motor isn't turning or working, the unit won't drain. First check to be sure you have power to the dishwasher. If not, see the section "It doesn't work at all." If the motor hums but doesn't turn, it may need to be replaced.

Some dishwashers are susceptible to getting stuck if you don't run them regularly. If you haven't run the dishwasher for more than a week, you may need to manually spin the motor to free it up. If the motor is defective, you need to replace it. Dishwasher motors can't be serviced.

\015\012\015\012\015\012\015\012Timer\015\012\015\012Part of what the timer does is control the motor and drain valve. If the timer doesn't work properly, the water may not drain and you need to replace the timer. This problem is uncommon.

Our moffat quiet 2 dishwasher has recently developed the problem that the dishes are not cleaned properly. It does drain water. We've opened the drain cover to check that. There does not seem to be a problem there. We've also started hearing a buzzing sound that lasts a minute or so between cycles. (Not between every cycle though) It's random. We rinse our dishes thoroughly before running a cycle. This unit is approx. 5 years old. Any suggestions?

SHX46B I have a 4 year old Dishwasher that filled up with clean water on it's own and leaked on the floor. There appears to ba a float switch switch on the very bottom of the unit that runs the pump if this happens. It won't stop until I remove the water caught in the plastic base on the very bottom of the unit. Drain is clear and this machine has worked fine until now. I'm thinking it may be a bad or leaky fill valve but how can I check?

Kitchenaid dishwasher - small pieces of food are left on otherwise clean dishes. Water level comes to about 1 inch below heater coil. I ran it without dishes (or soap) and added about a quart of water so that level came to about 1/4 inch below heater and that's when I noticed food pieces on drain surfaces (nylon filter under bottom spray arm unit and circular plastic "trap" surrounding it). Spray arms holes are clear and water is hot.

It sounds as if you figured the solution out. The holes in the spray arm(s) get plugged by small debris, (tooth picks, seeds, bits of plastic like candy wrappers, etc) and the water does not reach the dishes to wash and rinse effective ... Dishwashers

I've had my Nautilus for 6 years and it cleans very well - but now, it won't drain fully and pools at the bottom of the unit. I have made sure that my garbage disposal was cleared first, too. and that water was draining properly in the sinks. I will need special tools to unscrew the drain filter in the dishwasher, right, or can I just use a pair of pliers to turn the little knobs? I am always careful to rinse all food off the dishes before putting them in the washer, but I guess I wasn't careful

If your model has the screen across the back with the filter, then yes use your fingers or a plier to unscrew the pop up valve assembly at the very back center of the dishwasher. Most likely, the cone shapped part has deteriorated and is not sealing ... GE Nautilus 24" Built-in Dishwasher

I have cleaned the iside of the washer and where the water goes to the pump. Any ideas

Hi, I have a Fisher Paykel DD603I (integrated) dishdrawer unit. The bottom drawer soap dispenser has water in it after it runs (and leftover soap), and there is a small amount of water sitting in the bottom of the drawer. The dishes don't get totally clean. Ran it empty, and same problem occurred.

I have a Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III that is 8 years old and recently stopped cleaning top rack dishes. My 5-year old Bosch dishwasher leaves a somewhat fine grit on dishes? especially obvious on the inside of glasses.
