The Dodgers have secured outfielder Michael Conforto and pitcher Blake Treinen, aiming to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season with significant contracts.
Conforto, who’s turning 32 soon, had a decent season with the Giants, hitting .237 with 20 home runs and 66 RBIs. He was a first-round draft pick and even made the All-Star team back in 2017 with the Mets. After turning down a big offer from them, he sat out the 2022 season while recovering from shoulder surgery.
As for Treinen, he’s 36 and missed all of last season due to some serious shoulder surgery. He had a rough time with injuries but was solid in the past, boasting a 1.93 ERA in 50 relief appearances in 2021. The Dodgers are banking on his experience to help them out.
These signings show the Dodgers are serious about competing next season. Fans are definitely buzzing about these moves!
