Not getting enough water flow into the dishwasher, suspect that a filter is clogged due to recent work on the waterline in the kitchen sink. Need to know where the filter might be located (on the dishwasher or on the intake valve before the connection to the dishwasher hose)? Also would I need to disconnect the water supply to pull out the dishwasher for access to such a filter.

You didn't specify a brand but most dishwashers don't have a water "filter." They may have an inlet screen at the water valve, which is typically located under the dishwasher. Generally, the lower front panel will have to be removed and you should ... Dishwashers

No Power I have a bosch shx33 dishwasher. I just replaced the water valve because of a leak and now I can't start the dishwasher. It's like there is no power to the unit. I know there is power because I get a shock if I touch the two wires that are connected to the water valve. Is there another trip switch or something somewhere?

First let me say that using parts of your body to test for mains electriciy is a VERY VERY bad idea. You are lucky you are not dead. I have a Whirlpool DU810SWLQ0 that will not drain. I've pulled the unit out, snaked the drain tube, pulled the motor/pump, and pipe assemblies, and cleaned the food trap, which I also removed. I've run the dishwasher with a bit of bleach, and the water will pump in, get processed by the agitator, and be heated. When the rinse cycle comes, dishes get covered in food, and are never clean. Waste water was being used for a clean rinse. I've run the dishwasher with the drain dangling in a bucket,

Bosch dishwasher (SXH55MO6UC/46): The power comes on and runs normal, but no water is coming into the unit. I was told that it was a water inlet valve that needs to be replaced (part #263833). I need to know if this is what needs to be replaced and if so, is this something that I can do or do I need an expert repair service to do it? If it is something that I can do, I need instructions. I am handy, but this is something that I have not done before, Thank you, Craig Covey

Bottom unit does not always seal and causes water to collect in bottom pan which throw unit into f1 status. Sometimes it stays sealed and is difficult to pull drawer out. Is there a way to reset the unit properly? I know how to pull the drawer and fix the f1 problem but it seem like the seal issue is becoming more frequent. Thanks

These dishwashers are very sensitive to grime collecting around the drawer edges. Try cleaning with a damp cloth by rubbing along the top edges and the sides where the drawer door sits flush with the body.\015\012\015\012Also trun off pow ... Fisher and Paykel 23 in. DD-603SS Built-in Dishwasher

Whats the secret to getting the chopper unit back into the unit. There Tip was to use a small wrench or pair of pliers to compress the spring and align the unit. However , even with it fully compressed , the angle is right and it dosen't want to line up . I know to get it off, they advised to pull up. So it must be the opposite to replace it. My SGS55M72AU/65 does not get rid of its drain water, although that wee pump in the bottom is clearly working (which I could see after removing filters and pump cover). There is no blockage near the drain pipe connection, so I infer there is a blockage somewhere inside the dishwasher, in a place I can't get to without further instruction. I've removed most of the drain water and pulled the unit out, so I could lay it on its side and start taking screws out. But I much prefer to have some guidanc

My KitchenAid dishwasher (model KUD101TJWH0) suddenly is making noise from the motor area while inputing water into the unit, whether in the rinse or washing cycles but makes no noise in the draining cycles. Need the wiring diagram for the front panel/door of the dishwasher. The wiring diagram in the owners manual does not provide adequate description of which wires connect where. My problem is that, in taking off the door, two wires became disconnected and I cannot tell where they should be reconnected. I called Viking and they are unwilling to provide this (they prefer I call an authorized repair person). Does anyone know whether a repair manual exists for this and where I might get ahold of one.
