Having problems with your Hotpoint 24 in. FDW60 Free-standing Dishwasher ?

FDW60 Fault Hi, I have exactly the same problem. My dishwasher starts and washes ok but appears to get very hot during the drying phase and then the two lights fast and eco flash warning of a heater problem. I suspect either the heater, thermostat or control PCB. As the rest of the cycle seems of and the water gets hot then I'm assuming the heater and thermostat are OK. When the dishwasher attempts to dry is when the problem starts. Did anyone find out what there fault was? Thanks

BF41 Dishwasher with a leak stuck in mid cycle Hi, I have a 'general domestic Appliance Ltd' BF41 (95+G709394) dishwasher which recently started leaking at the door. After replacing the seal the problem seemed to ease, then recently the problem started all over again and the leaking got worse. A couple of day ago I couldn't stop it leaking and now it's stuck in mid cycle and even though the water is washing inside the machine it never gets hot inside or finishes the cycle. Ive tried stopping and

Dishwasher I have a whirlpool dishwasher that does not appear to be getting hot water. The washer water is cold initially and only seems to get warm once the heater in the base of the machine heats it. The hot water supply line does not get hot so I presume no water is being supplied. Is the water supposed to be hot at the start. If yes could this be caused be a faulty inlet valve and if so how can I check. The dishes are dirty especially on the top rack. Thanks for your help. David

Gendos is on track with his question. I have the same dishwasher and it doesn't get enough hot water to clean the dishes and runs for hours because the heating element wasn't designed to heat water, just maintain it. The only solution we have found ... Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher

Even though I turned up the thermostat on my hot water heater, the water in the dishwasher does not seem to be hot enough. Mold is growing in the food grinder and even though I choose the heat dry option, the dishes are never dry. Yet, when I touched the element, I got burned. The dishes are not getting clean because it doesn't seem to be hot enough to cut the grease.

Hi, I have a Miele G681 dish washer with an intake/drain light problem. I've read all posts about similar problems I could find both on this forum and others but I'm afraid I still can't figure my problem out. The intake/drain light starts blinking mid way into the dishwashing process. The dish washer fills up, rinses, drains, water is hot, everything seems to function just fine. Some time after the tablet drops from its door mounted container, and the time estimate reaches 46 minutes r

I have a Beko DE3542FS dishwasher which has stopped heating the water. I know the heater element is ok because I have had it tested. I was wondering if the thermostat was faulty if this would account for it not heating. The element has had 240v applied and becomes hot. So my reasoning is that it is either the thermostat or the programmer. Any suggestions?

Hi I have a Zanussi ZDF501 dishwasher that stopped heating up intermittently. It got worse and I fitted a new heater and all was ok for a few months. Then the intermittent failure started again. Note that I tested the old heater and it is actually OK without a short circuit so I don't think it was the problem adn can be re-used. Could it be the thermostat or heat sensor? I am concerned it might be the PCB since the failure was intermittent. Thanks Dave

In my case, although the solder joints on the relay looked poor, improving them didn't help. I had to replace the relay. Fortunately, Maplin stock a compatible one, JM67X for 1.99. See ... Zanussi Dishwashers

I have an ADG7550 whirlpool dishwasher. Am experiencing a fault when placing on a normal 65 degree programme it starts to fill and then defaults to pre-rinse and the start button and light flash eleven times. Can you explain what type of fault this could be ? I have had a similar problem 12 months ago when it was described as a water pressure problem which again was in the winter and wonder if this is the same. I would add that if I re-set the start button by holding it down and then re-start

Dishwasher problem Our Asko 1353 dishwasher stops halfway through its's wash cycle. I suspected the thermostat, as it seemed loose in it's holder and not tight against the tub. After I tightened the holder the problem is still the same. Also, the on/off switch (pressure switch?) does not stay in the on position and when I looked it over I found one of the crimp on terminals had melted. Short circuit? Too much resistance from bad thermostat? How do I check the thermostat before I order a new one?

I think your switch may just be bad,but to check the t-stat remove both wires and use a multimeter, set the meter to ohms and connect the two leads to the terminals on the t-stat.with the t-stat to off you should read an (ol) open condition, when you t ... Dishwashers

Dishwasher does not seem to have power. I have a Kitchen Aid, under counter unit, 9 years old, model KUDS01I. I used it 2 nights ago with no problem. When I push a button, nothing happens, no lights show, etc. It is plugged into the lower half of a duplex socket with disposal plugged into the top. Disposal works, so the problem seems to be with the dishwasher. That also eliminates any issues related to breakers or ground fault indicators, etc. Is there a reset button on the dishwasher? Our Whirlpool KUDP01ILBS2 dishwasher isn't working like it used to. Dishes seem to be getting partially clean, they aren't getting dry at all and it seems they may be being rinsed/washed with dirty water. There is plenty of water in the machine when I interupt the cleaning cycle. I always run the hot water in the sink before I start the dishwasher so the first water into the dishwasher is as hot as possible. Also the sani-rinse light is flashing when the cycle "completes".

Heat that is retained in the dishes is largely responsible for drying\015\012in this dishwasher. Since plastics do not retain heat very well, they\015\012will not dry as well as glasses, ceramics or metal dishes. Rinse aid\015\012must be used so that ... Dishwashers

When trying to start the dishwasher, pressing the Normal wash button, the dishwasher gives a huge clunk and then it trips the circuit breaker. Upon resetting the breaker, I tried the next button over, which is Soak and Wash, and it seems to go thru the cycle fine. Another time I tried the Normal button, but put the left dial on Rinse and it started up, but it would clunk periodically and it seemed to have a 'hot' smell. I'm worried to use it - what could this be? Is there anything else I can try

Water seems to be leaking into the dishwasher at the end of the cycle the water appears to be clean, so I am wondering about a seal of some kind on the hot water line leaking or whatever. It is a Bosch Dishwasher SHU series 3200 My problem is the same. Water leaks in to bottom of dishwasher over about a 2-3 day period. The dishwasher runs fine. It does not ever run over. The water seems to stop entering the dishwasher after it reaches a certain level.

FDW60 dishwasher Hi My dishwasher is about 15 months old and the problem I have is that it seems to stay on pump and the Ecco45 light is flashing.  A repair company looked at the machine and said that the motor looked like it was leaking and water was getting in the bottom setting off the micro-switch.  He contacted Hotpoint who fitted a new motor today at a cost of £89.85.  Went to use dishwasher tonight and we still have the same problem.  The dishwasher started the washing programme for about
