Having problems with your Kenmore 17024 Built-in Dishwasher ?

Blowing fuse... We've replaced the overheating fuse located in the control board area about 5 times. It has just blown again after using the dishwaser one time--before it would go about a month before blowing the fuse. It seems to get about a few minutes away from completing the wash cycle and does not complete the draining process. Help!! We don't know what to do next--replacing the fuse is costing about $15 each time, before you know it we could have bought a new one! Thanks for the help. Ti

Answers :

Tim, this blown fuse issue was pretty common on this model. Whirlpool, which made this model came out with a fuse kit that included a terminal and heavier guage wire to eliminate this problem. It just splices right into the control board, easy job. The model number that you posted had some service flashes out on it including a heater and motor rework. If your model number ends in 00 or 01, yours may be included. You may want to check with Whirlpool to get that fuse kit and check on the service flash. The service flash is 22-721. ZANUSSI DA6141 Dishwasher Stops about 10min in, and it blows the fuse in the plug, open the door and water is hot, I change the fuse and set it on drain and it drains ok. I looked at the On/Off Switch it appeared to be discoloured so I ordered a new one changed it with no problem but the dishwasher stopped at exactly the same point (I know this as I marked the dial) Any help would be great thanks Nick

Yes I have a whirlpool DU1345XTVB1 dishwasher. Just got in July. After each wash cycle the dishes are not dry. I have been using Finish gelpacs w/jetdry & also have a off brand drying agent in reservior to help dry dishes. The water temperature is set pretty hot & washer is draining good. I have tried checking wash cycle a few minutes into 1st cycle to see if water is in filling & heating. Didn't know if maybe heating element going out or thermostat not working? Thank you for your time.

After i replace the fuse for some reason after a few months or less it will blow it out again. I have also replace the front panel assembly after it stopped working correctly. We have an Hotpoint FDW70 Dishwasher that for some time has had an A10 fault which although stops the machine some times 70% of the time it does a full cycle. Tends to blow after about 5 minutes. I know about the fault code A10 being 'Fill Valve Triac' but as not an engineer what is that? and what parts are needed and or

I actually don't know what type of Bosch I have. I know that is a problem, but maybe you can still help. It has a simple panel that says: Pot Scrubber, regular wash, quick wash, rinse and hold. When I turn on quick wash, sometimes it says 38 min. 45 min. 56 min. We want to keep it at 38 minutes and we don't know why it varies. If we have to open it mid-cycle, it switches to a higher cycle time. How do we set it for 38?

My Whirlpool dishwasher will wash fine, but when it drains, it's a slow trickle. I've snaked the line from the sink to the washer, but I can't find a clog. If I try to blow into the drain pipe all I accomplish is almost passing out. I can't blow all the way through it. When I hit the drain button, I hear the solenoid kick on with a rattle, then just a hum. Like I said, I just get a trickle, and the basin never drains completely. It's driving me crazy! Help? How to diagnose? My Kenmore won't run. First it was flashing the clean light 7 times, so I figured out how to reset ("High Temp Scrub"/"Air Dry"/"High Temp Scrub"/"Air Dry"), but when I try to run a wash, it sounds like it's not getting water into the tub. When I checked it several minutes later, it was in "Cancel" mode, making a sound like it was draining (or trying to drain), then the clean light started flashing 7 times again. Clearly, the machine has something wrong but I don't know where to

What am I doing wrong? Our dishes don't come out clean at all with this. I love how quiet it is, but that is about all I like right now. I cleaned the filter and it hasn't helped. I cleaned the spray arms, I tried everything. We use the regular setting (about 2 hrs wash time for a full load). If I don't rinse the baby bottles, milk is still in them after washing so I know it is not doing a decent job.

Problems with Danby DW1899WP. My husband and I ordered it from Wal-Mart online and picked it up yesterday. We've read through the manual several times, filled all the appropriate receptacles, plugged it in, hooked it up to the water, loaded it, set it, started it, and it doesn't work. It runs the pre-wash rinse for about five minutes before giving a series of beeps, draining the unit, and switching straight to the dry cycle without actually washing the dishes. Help!
