Having problems with your Kenmore Dishwashers ?

Small Burn spots on interior tub below heating element. These spots have small cracks in center of them, and leak right through the bottom of the tub, dripping water all over under the dishwasher. Nothing has falling into the bottom of the tub, and nothing has touched the heating element. What in the world could be causing this to happen? Hi,
\015\012
\015\012The heat from the element when the dishwasher is in the "drying" mode has caused the bottom to stress crack and become open so it leaks...
\015\012Ultimately this will cause you to have to replace the dishwasher...
\015\012To prolong the use of the dishwasher for a time you could patch these crakces with and epoxy glue...make sure that the bottm is completely dry first... dry the area very well wil a hair dryer or heat gun and then let it cool before attempting to repair with the epoxy glue...
\015\012
\015\012I would use a product like or similar to this...

Have a frigidaire dishwasher (model- PLD4375RFC0)about 2 years old. Set to run as we left to go out of town- when we came back all lights flashing including error- found a child's plastic bowl that had fallen to the bottom and had a melted spot as it was next to the heating element. Called support and were told to master restart- shut the power off for 15 minutes. Did and now flashing "27". Cannot find a code for that and neither could support without sending out a repairman. Any advice before

Hi, I have a Fisher Paykel DD603I (integrated) dishdrawer unit. The bottom drawer soap dispenser has water in it after it runs (and leftover soap), and there is a small amount of water sitting in the bottom of the drawer. The dishes don't get totally clean. I have removed and cleaned the spray arm, drain filter, filter plate and bottom of tub. Found nothing clogged or particularly dirty. Put all the parts back in and everything moves freely. Ran it empty, and same problem occurred.

Powdery residue on some dishes, will not wash off. Repairman said it was due to warter temp, but have tries heat & Anti bacteria and still persists. Could it be chemical build up because I was using a no phosphate detergent(Finish)? Repairman also suggested I use Citric acid to clean dishwasher tub and element. Could this just be hard water?

Our 2 month old Frigidaire FGHD2433KF1 dishwasher is producing a very strong foul odor. It is not connected to a garbage disposal and we only see a small amount of water in the bottom of tub when the dishwasher is off. When I use the sanitize cycle, it seems that the smell is even more intense, not sure if that could be do to a small amount of steam escaping on the highest setting ? We have no idea what to check any suggestions would be much appreciated

Do you have it connected to an air gap? If not this can allow the water to drain back into the dishwasher and will sometimes have food particles in it making it stink. ... Dishwashers

I have a dishlex global 300 on which I removed the front cover a black wire came loose and I didn't know where it came from thanks to jyackle5 I have fixed that issue. My GE Profile Performance dishwasher (GSD 4910) doesn't drain. I hear the pump working, and water draining into the sink (not a disposal) as it should, but water is left standing in the tub about as high as the heating element. I have been negligent in not cleaning out the filters and after the unit more or less stopped, I pulled the two filters finding them full of what looked like soap scum. I cleaned them best I could (but noticed the inner filter still had most of the small holes blocked) Started the unit and it cleaned alright for a couple of days. Last night after running a load all the water did not empty from the bottom of the tub? Any suggestion on what wrong? Bought the unit on 1/19/05. Thanks

I have a GE Triton XL dishwasher that is not spraying water onto the dishes. I just reset the power, and that didn't help. Putting it on the rinse only or wash cycle fills the bottom with water, but it sounds like a trickle vs. the spray. The heating element comes on and the soap door opens, but there's not spraying. I made sure there was nothing clogging the water line or other parts. What do you think is wrong?

Hole! The heating element burned a hole in the bottom of the tub causing it to flood my basement under the kitchen. It is 2 1/2 years old (out of warrantee) and Sears offered us a 10% discount to purchase a new one! I would never again pay money for a Kenmore product if that is how they stand behind the products. Fills with water, sounds like it starts to pump water then stops, then start again. It attempts to start pumping water 3 or 4 times them turns off leaving the water in the tub. I have read about the water needing to heat up for the cycle to advance. When I check the water that is left in the tub it is warm but not hot. The heating element is not hot either. I did a continuity test on the heating element and it seems to check out ok. I also did a continuity test on the red wire from the heating e
