Having problems with your Viking DFUD042 Built-in Dishwasher ?
I have a Viking dishwasher made by Asko. It is less than 6 months old. BUT, since the water was not properly draining from the disposal, apparently the dishwasher was not draining properly either. A repairman came to fix the disposal before I knew about the dishwasher issue.

I have a whirlpool gold model GU1500 diswasher. When the rinse cycle ends the water pumps out into the garbage disposal like it should, but then water backs-up from somewhere into the bottom of the dishwasher. The overfill protection drain seems OK...the water doesn't overflow. It doesn't have a air gap on the sink. The drain hose goes directly from the dishwasher to the inlet on the garbage disposal. It appears to be properly installed per the installation instructions. The washer is about 4 ye

Dishwasher drain is hooked to a food disposer and until recently the unit worked fine. Last week following a cycle a couple of inches of water did not drain out. All food is removed from dishes, silverware, etc. prior to loading and the food trap in the bottom is completely clear. I ran the unit empty through a Lightwash cycle and afterwards the water level (that which didn't drain out) looked to be the same as before. The dishwasher is run 2-3 times weekly whereas the food disposal is

Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus dishwasher Model DU920PFGZ3. Worked fine until I replaced the insinkerator and forgot to punch the drain plug leaving water standing on the bottom of the machine. I punched the drain opening, and pushed the cancel/drain cycle button. It drained fine but since no water comes from the spray arms. I have removed the arm all the way down..NOTHING!! Some research indicated it could be the water inlet valve. When the buttons are pushed, it cycles but no spray or water.
Ge profile dishwasher not draining Model no. pdw9280n20ss I checked the drain line at the garbage disposal. No blockage. Line is clear. The back flow loop is high and not kinked. Only a small trickle of water comes out of the disposal drain at the end of cycle. No forceful pressure of water like before. I removed the smaller grill drain area and cannot feel any objects down in there. I do not know how to remove the larger fine mesh grill on bottom. Any suggestions?

We recently bought a house with a Kenmore 363.16222100 (?) dishwasher. No manual. Monday night it didn't drain properly and leaked some water on the kitchen floor. The cycle had finished when we saw the water on the floor. We bailed out the excess water. I took off the drain cover and insert. I couldn't see an obvious clog problem, but cleaned it out. Then I tried a short cycle, interrupting it to shorten it. No problem. Water seemed to drain fine. I did find a part that looked like a straw and

Kitchen Aid Dishwasher KUDR24SEBLO does not drain 100%. I have removed the drain hose and chcked the sink P-Trap, [it drains thru the garbage disposer]. Unit is 10 years old, otherwise works fine. I am having difficulty removing the impeller and items above the pump to see if it is clogged. My bosh dishwasher SHX55M06UC/46 will not drain. A new disposal was put in and the dishwasher drain plug was not punched out and the dishwasher was ran that way. Now it just holds water in the bottom. I've tried resetting or canceling the wash cycle but that doesn't work and the washing cycle works fine. I'm hoping there is a reset or a safety for the pump if it gets clogged.
BOSCH Dishwasher Problem I have a dishwasher (SHV46C13UC/33) that when I start any of the three cycles it continues to run until I open it and do the 'cancel' function. The 'rinse/drain' seems to be running fine, but there is a film left after that mode. I've checked the water inlet, which is open and fine. And, it does drain properly. Is there a SENSOR I need to clean periodically? Or, is the man control module the problem? What's going on?

Cycles improperly My dishwasher does not cycle properly. It races through the cycles, even when set to pots & pans, in about ten minutes. At first I thought it not filling properly, checked the fill switch, it's fine and water does come in. Then when it's finished it does not always drain completely. I have checked everything on the drain end as well. It seems to have a mind of it's own. I replaced the $145 computer control with no luck. It actually sped up from the original 16 minute ful

My Professional series dishwasher does not work properly. It is only 1.5 years old and glasses on top rack get sprayed with fine layer of particles every time I use it. Other items, top and bottom, are often not clean as well, but glasses are the hardest to re-clean. I've had my Nautilus for 6 years and it cleans very well - but now, it won't drain fully and pools at the bottom of the unit. I have made sure that my garbage disposal was cleared first, too. and that water was draining properly in the sinks. I will need special tools to unscrew the drain filter in the dishwasher, right, or can I just use a pair of pliers to turn the little knobs? I am always careful to rinse all food off the dishes before putting them in the washer, but I guess I wasn't careful
